URL Fixer is a super handy Firefox extension which does the dirty job of fixing these typos for you. It can fix most common typos in both prefix (http:, https:) and suffix part (com, org, net, info.. etc) of a domain name.

Firekeeper is like Snort, except it runs inside Firefox.
