The Principality of Liechtenstein (German: Fürstentum Liechtenstein) is a very small, doubly landlocked alpine country in Central Europe, bordered by Switzerland to its west and by Austria to its east. Mountainous, it is a winter sports resort, although it is perhaps best known as a tax haven. Despite this, it is not heavily urbanized (in the way that the Principality of Monaco and Gibraltar are). Many cultivated fields and little farms characterize its landscape both in the north (Unterland) and in the south (Oberland). Not only is it the smallest German-speaking country in the world, but also the only European country whose bordering countries are also landlocked.

Hey, if the Swiss can invade Liechtenstein, why not the U.S.???

Do you think your beef and dairy products have chemicals in them? Well recent news has surfaced about the banning of cows being fed cannabis in Switzerland and neighboring Liechtenstein.

What began as a routine training exercise almost ended in an embarrassing diplomatic incident after a company of Swiss soldiers got lost at night and marched into neighboring Liechtenstein. George Bush reported to be taking notes for the invasion of Iran.

This is just too funny. Is this how we got into Iraq?

The traditionally neutral Swiss army has staged an unplanned invasion after troops blundered into Liechtenstein.A 171-strong Swiss company got two kilometres into its neighbour before realising the mistake and heading back.
