Greece (Greek: Ελλάδα or Ελλάς ), officially the Hellenic Republic (Ελληνική Δημοκρατία ), is a country in southeastern Europe, situated on the southern end of the Balkan Peninsula. It is bordered by Bulgaria, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Albania to the north and by Turkey to the east. The Aegean Sea lies to the east and south of mainland Greece, while the Ionian Sea lies to the west. Both, parts of the eastern Mediterranean basin, feature a vast number of islands. Greece lies at the juncture of Europe, Asia, and Africa. It is heir to the heritages of classical Greece, the Byzantine Empire, and nearly four centuries of Ottoman rule. Regarded as the cradle of western civilization and the birthplace of democracy, Western philosophy, the Olympic Games, western literature, political science, major scientific principles and drama (including both tragedy and comedy), Greece has a particularly long and eventful history and a cultural heritage which has been considerably influential in Europe, Northern Africa and the Middle East. Today, Greece is a developed country, a member of the European Union since 1981 and a member of the Economic and Monetary Union of the European Union since 2001. Athens is the capital; Thessaloniki, Piraeus and Patra are some of the country's other major cities.
History
Based on the epic graphic novel by Frank Miller, '300' is a ferocious retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army. Facing insurmountable odds, their valor and sacrifice inspire all of Greece to unite against their Persian enemy
In a bipartisan vote of 413 to 0, the House just passed this landmark bill (/sarcasm) : "Recognizing the 186th anniversary of the independence of Greece and celebrating Greek and American democracy." It's good to see our Congress taking on the tough challenges of our time (/more sarcasm).
Infidel women from many places, like the Balkans, Russia, Greece, France, Ireland and much of Europe. a few from America and other nations. Scandinavia is very popular. The young , the pretty , the stupid, Many college girls. They are easy to acquire. Some of the Saudi sheiks go on hunting trips as they are called.
No surprises here. A Tehran Newspaper says, "Hollywood Declares War on Iranians." Interesting since the movie is about the Persians who declared war on Greece.
